The company JOSE PELLUZ BERNAL was established in 1980 by José Pelluz along with his wife Montserrat Esteban. They started in the food sector in a small district of the Region of Murcia located on the southeast of Spain, close to the Mediterranean Sea.
Together, with big effort and excitement, they undertook a fascinating adventure: manufacturing traditional products from the ground, based on traditional recipes, which they used to sell in local markets.
What was the product they began with? This question has a simple answer: FIG CAKE WITH ALMONDS, the flagship product of the company for many years, still famous nowadays. This was the product which made known the brand 'De Juan' as a symbol of tradition and exquisite flavour.
They started this project with the esteemed help of a small number of collaborators (mostly family and friends) who, in a short time, managed to transform around 1 ton of product per month.
Over the years, the company JOSE PELLUZ BERNAL has been growing and developing new brands as marshmallows, candies and chocolates.
Nowadays, the company exports to more than 25 countries around the world and has more than 120 employees. In 2016, almost 1000 tons of goods were transformed among all its brands.
These figures have been reached thanks to traditional methods of manufacturing along with the newest technologies, although the most import thing for us is our essence, composed of illusion, dedication and effort.
Thanks to this, we have become one of the leaders of the market of the elaboration of this kind of traditional delights.
